When two innovators meet: LINAK & TENTE at MEDICA 2024

 

What happens when two industry experts – one specializing in drive solutions, the other in high-quality casters and wheels – join forces? The result is a product that impresses not only technologically, but also practically. At this year's MEDICA trade fair, LINAK and TENTE are presenting their latest collaborative project: the WeAssist, an electrically powered caster that significantly simplifies the transport of hospital beds, similar to an e-bike.

 

LINAK, known for its reliable drive systems in medical and industrial applications, and TENTE, a leader in the manufacture of casters and wheels, have combined their expertise in WeAssist to create a smart solution designed to revolutionize everyday care. The new caster, developed through the synergy of both technologies, makes it possible to move even heavily loaded beds effortlessly and safely – a real benefit for caregivers and patient comfort.

 

At MEDICA, the LINAK and TENTE booths were physically separate, but their integration through the building structure and the resulting natural transition via the hall aisle created a connection that symbolized their shared product. Our concept for the two booths ensured a unified look that highlighted the collaboration, while both brands maintained their own identities through individual corporate identity elements and graphics.

 

With WeAssist, LINAK and TENTE demonstrate how partnership can create real added value for the medical field – and for us it was an exciting project to implement this idea in a design.
